Activities

Since BeLoved Atlanta is a two-year program, residents spend a lot of time dealing with past trauma and recovery. We love to make sure they have a sense of normalcy in their everyday lives. Whether you are bringing over dinner, going to the movies, or getting a pedicure, residents love getting to hangout casually with our volunteers.

Transportation

With our individualized care, residents are often on separate journeys with their mental health and recovery. Throughout the week residents often need a ride around our bustling city. This looks different every day but a few examples would be to doctor appointments, the grocery store or to weekly meetings. A lot of times, it is comforting for them to have a ride and someone to chat with on the way.

Host Family

Welcome a BeLoved Atlanta Resident into your family for the holiday weekend. The holidays can be a difficult time for our residents as many of them don’t have positive memories around the holidays or have struggled with sobriety over those seasons in the past. We ask that you provide a safe, sober, welcoming environment for residents where they can experience a loving family (for many of them, for the first time!).

BeLoved is a unique place to invest your time because you have the opportunity to walk alongside women on their two year journey to recovery and healing. Building relationships with the residents and having a front row seat to milestones in their lives has been an immeasurable blessing and encouragement.
